In what appears to be an anti-climax, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), has backed down on its opposition to the proposed Niger Delta Summit, a forum envisioned by the Federal Government to fashion out solution to the crisis in the oil-producing region.
Notwithstanding, Europe-based Niger Delta indigenes have picked up the gauntlet against the convening of the summit back home.
Sunday Sun gathered that arrangements have been concluded for a synchronized anti-summit protest in some countries in Europe.
